Eerie

I was just in the back yard for a moment, and saw the spookiest sight. There were at least 15 huge turkey vultures silently wheeling and gliding over the meadow. One little male red-winged blackbird was challenging them, as the red-wings think the meadow belongs to them. Quite amazing to see that tiny bird, smaller than a paperback book, attacking (and intimidating) the turkey vultures, with their wingspans of 72". All of the vultures moved on down the beach. Brave little blackbird!
